Ten-time Pro Bowl pick Jonathan Ogden, listed at 6 feet 9 and 345 pounds, is still a question mark for the Ravens' season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night.

Ogden, who has been sidelined the entire preseason by a hyperextended toe on his left foot, took part in individual drills yesterday. At one point, he lined up next to left guard Jason Brown, and the pair attacked reserves Ikechuku Ndukwe and Mike Kracalik during a blocking drill.
</p><div class="rail"><div id="module-related-links"><h4><font color="#000000"></font></h4></div></div><p id="story-body2">After practice, Ogden wasn't in a talkative mood, telling the reporters huddled around his locker, "I don't know yet. I've got to get some pads on first."

If Ogden can't play, the team could use the alignment it used in the preseason finale against the Atlanta Falcons on Friday, with Adam Terry at left tackle and rookie Marshall Yanda at right tackle.

Coach Brian Billick said he would know later in the week whether Ogden would be available.

"The key is J.O.," Billick said. "If J.O. can go, I know exactly what it looks like. If he can't go, I know exactly what it looks like. So we'll adjust it to where he's at."

Three starters who didn't play against the Falcons -- free safety Ed Reed (bruised thigh), cornerback Samari Rolle (sprained ankle) and wide receiver Mark Clayton (sprained ankle) -- appeared to practice at full speed. Of the three, Clayton was the only one who had been taped up.

Defensive tackle Haloti Ngata's bruised left knee was wrapped and taped, and rookie guard Ben Grubbs' right knee was wrapped. Quarterback Kyle Boller, who injured his right knee against the Falcons, bounced around without his knee taped or wrapped.

Finally, tight end Daniel Wilcox (sprained ankle) took part in a few individual drills without his helmet before jogging off the field with trainer Bill Tessendorf.

The Ravens have not begun their game plan for the Bengals just yet. Billick said yesterday and today would be devoted to gearing up for Thursday, which will be the first day that the coaches install their game plan.

"If you start too early, it gets stale," Billick said. "So we're not starting on Cincinnati ... until Thursday. Certainly some of the things we are doing will apply, but right now they're working to get back into a rhythm so that we can go in earnest on Thursday."</p><div class="story-subhead">Rubbing in an upset</div>When Ravens rookie linebacker Prescott Burgess got to his stall in the locker room Saturday afternoon, Wilcox's jersey was waiting for him. Prescott, who played at Michigan, knew what it meant since Wilcox had played at Appalachian State.

The news of the 34-32 loss by the No. 5 Wolverines to the two-time Division I-AA national champions, one of the biggest upsets in college football history, had made its way to Owings Mills.

"I had to show him [Burgess] some love," Wilcox said yesterday after practice.

Wilcox still has ties to the school. Last spring he went back to Boone, N.C., to introduce Mountaineers coach Jerry Moore at the ceremony where the team received its national championship rings.

While he was at Appalachian State, his teams nearly won at Auburn and beat Wake Forest. This year's team finished what Wilcox's teams had started.

"I was proud of them boys," Wilcox said.

It sucks that JO is possibly not going to play against the Bengals but I know Adam Terry has done a good job taking his place when he was out last year. It's just the right side with Marshal Yanda that I'm concerned with. I have heard neither good nor bad about him during the preseason but that was only preseason. But I may be getting ahead of myself because then again, this is the Benagls defense. They have horrible pass defense and their linebackers are their weak point obviously.
