Some of you know I have weak knees, well today I cranked up my workout a bit going all out on the bike, fast walking for 30 minutes, leg curls, extensions, calf raises and wow, my knees, thighs, groin and everything are killing me! :shok: I iced my knees and it still hurts. Make me fell better, lol...I've been going to the chiropractor(cousins own the place) and strenthening my legs and my knees have felt better but oh man they have been killing me tonight.

whoa, that's way over working your legs, and using machines in workouts decreases chances of improving strength as they isolate rather than make you use your stabilization muscle and multi-joint capabilities like squats do.If you want, I can fix up a workout for your lower body/core. Basically do squats, calf raises, lunges, good mornings, and deadlifts for lower body, and planks, weighted crunches, L-Holds and side twists with weights for core.

I remember having knee problems when I used to play football, call me old fashioned but playing beach volleyball worked wonders. The sand that is, jumping and manuvering on sand really strengthens the legs.Of course that was 30 years ago so, who knows, that might be considered the wrong way these days.

But I'll go ahead and ask you for some stuff later on. I know machines don't do as much but my quads and hamstrings have been a lot stronger. Maybe I shouldn't have went up a level on the bike at the gym. :no1:
