For anyone that lives around Philly, you probably heard about this game. The catholic league championship this year was amazing. A few weeks back O'Hara played the Prep and it was a great defensive game. Both teams scored all their points in the first quarter. The score was 12-7, and on O'Hara's last drive, they got a bullcrap intentional grounding call at the Preps 20 that basically ended the game. The rematch was set tonight at Villanova, and it was great. Once again, the first half was a defensive struggle but still with Prep dominating, as it was 13-2. O'Hara came out and scored on a huge run, and failed their 2 point conversion. At 13-8 O'Hara scored again with 1:56 remaining. Prep gets a nice return to their 40, and has a huge run to O'Hara's 18 yard line. Things looked ugly, but Prep went 3 dull plays, and was forced to a field goal. O'Hara blocked the kick with 40 seconds left, but they recovered the block on their own 1. O'Hara burned Preps timeouts, and punted it away. Prep then went 4 incompletes, and we stormed the field. One of the best games I've ever seen, NFL and college included. For anyone that doesn't know, Prep is where Rich Gannon went to. They've won the last 3 league championships, and the last 2 it was against O'Hara. Great program, but O'Hara is too. Kevin Jones went to O'Hara, and although he is a bit mediocre right now he was an amazing back in HS. Some great players have passed through this rivalry.
