Foxsports powerrankings - Buffalo starting to be taken seriously. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/4802386
Just curious, does anyone still think Roethlisberger is more athletic then JP Losman? Cause what I've seen on the field so far - I honestly and unbiasedly gotta give it to JP. Please don't try to take what I just said out of context - I mean exactly what I said - no more, no less.

From what I saw in Buffalo's game against Green Bay, Losman is the more athletic/mobile of the two. Then again, Roethlisberger got banged around last year and has been dinged up this year a few times in camp and the pre-season. Regardless, I think Losman is probably more athletic, yes.
Maybe that's the reason for us being 5. Losman will add another dimension to our O with his mobility. He's gonna be hard to sack with blitzes - and that may very well open up the running game because teams are gonna have to rely on only their D line to pressure him into mistakes from the pocket. Our O will score more points then it did last year with Bledsoe at the helm. BTW, anycowboys care to elaborate on Bledsoe? What I've seen it wasn't pretty.
Bledsoe looked fine against the Seahawks the other night. 56 yards and a TD pass. Even had a couple of play action plays...

He may be more athletic but i dont think smarter on the field but at the sametime we only saw Losman in preseason so we just have to wait.
wow for anyone whos denied the AFC East being the hardest division in the league just see that the Pats are #1 Bills #5 and Jets #6. I'd say thats a pretty hard division. o yea and the ummm phins are 30th but watever
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (tko51)</div><div class='quotemain'>I honestly and unbiasedly gotta give it to JP.</div> Bwaaaahahahahahahah!!!!! I nearly Buffalo Billed on a cookie as I read that!!!
i actually think JP is a better athlete than Big Ben, hes more mobile but as others said being a better athlete doesnt make u a better QB just look at Mike Vick. lol

I nearly Buffalo Billed on a cookie as I read that!!!</div> You would post that despite the overwhelming number of people on here that agree with me on Losman's vs. Roethlisberger's athleticism. We're still like your most hated division rival. Ours however is definitely a toss-up between the Pats (partially for convincing us to take their old trash - ie. Bledsoe - Milloy is doing good for us though). BTW, enjoy another season sweep from the bills - I'll be totally shocked if you guys managed to knock us off and will automatically call the game a fluke (just like when you guys knocked off the Pats - in fact any games you guys win this year will be a fluke unless you get a crack at the Browns, 49ers, Bears (sorry, you guys don't get to play the bears or the 9ers this year so scratch those two off).
Yeah, but JP is definitely settling down more and more in the pocket - hopefully by the time sept. 11th gets here, he'll let plays develop before he just takes off. Still, it's really nice having a mobile QB instead of cement shoe bledsoe.

You haven't been able to acknowledge reality once since you've been on this board. Were the Dolphins better than the Patriots last year? No, except for one Monday night the Dolphins did play football better than the Patriots and that, as Chris Berman often says, is why they play the games. Do I think the Dolphins are better than the Bills this year? Probably not. I'm not really worried about that. I've laid out the win-loss records and have proven that the Dolphins are the far superior franchise compared to the sub-500, never won a Super Bowl, Bills. I'm more concerned about the big picture. I want to see the Dolphins return to the double-digit win status that they normally attain and I feel that the decisions made since the hiring of Nick Saban are returning hope to our future. I'm not concerned with the Bills. I want to see the Dolphins competing with the Patriots again. So most everyone acknowledges that J.P. Losman is a better athlete than Big Ben Roethlisberger. That's nice, but I don't base my opinion on what everyone else thinks. First, Losman may be faster and make quicker cuts than Big Ben, but that's speculation. I haven't see Losman and Roethlisberger in a foot race. What I do hear is a lot of announcers talking about how deceptively fast Big Ben is. What I don't see is a lot of people catching Big Ben before he makes it out of bounds. I haven't seen Losman in a real game (who has?) so the jury is still out on what he can do. Second, I don't define athleticism the same way that most people define it. Merriam-Webster defines an athlete as being someone who is "trained or skilled in exercises, sports, or games requiring physical strength, agility, or stamina." Guys like Losman and Michael Vick may have agility and stamina, but are they skilled? If a guy can throw a ball 90 yards, but can't hit the side of a barn, then I don't consider him to be much of an athlete. If a guy runs around for 30 seconds, making people miss then overthrows a wide open reciever, then he's not much of an athelete in my book. I consider Dan Marino to be a great athlete though he couldn't run very fast, because his mechanics were spot on and he was clearly skilled. I consider Joe Montana to be a great athlete even though he wasn't very big, because he had mastered his game mentally and physically. So far, Big Ben has acomplished far more than Losman so I have to give Ben the nod on being the better athlete. Most people use athleticism to praise players who show some natural ability, but very little skill or training. I define that as hype.

Losman jasnt donemuch so u cant say hes a better athlete. He might be able to scramble better but doesnt mean hes a better athlete. DD just basically covered everything. GREAT JOB!
