Since everyone is so down and out including me.... heres a somewhat optimistic look at the remainder of this season. As i said in another thread... I think this team could suddenly get hot. It might get uglier before it gets better. This road trip would be a great confidence builder going 3-1. I think its def possible. I cant count roy out yet... need to see where he is by all star break. Then you can judge him and be more fair. We have 7 losses and 6 are vs jazz, hornets (2), okc (2) and Lakers. All very very good teams. Now a few bounces are way and we get 3 wins there and then things would be much different round here. The hornets and jazz always play us tough. they have our number big time... and monty going there made it worse. So all things considered our record could be worse after the early sched. Its not great but still not awful either. Playoffs are 50/50. No way around it even if we were playing really good ball. You have 5 teams fighting for 2 spots as of now. Suns, Blazers, Nuggets, GS, and Memphis. Denver all depends on Anthony and where he goes. If he stays they are in which means its Memphis, Suns, and GS we would need to beat out. That seems very possible IMO. A bad injury for us and likely no. But i think finishing ahead of those teams should at least make the season interesting right down to April. Maybe if the blazers get there shit together and play well... they could get 7th seed. But thats as far as i see them getting at best right now. There ya go....
Great post, mix. I would say, though, that any seed up to the 2 seed is still available to us. We have enough talent to get clicking and go on a run.
No, for once your constant doom and gloom is justified....unforunateately. Why desert it now? This is your crowning hour. The team seems imbalanced. We could probably need some shooters. Maybe Joel will help. But really we should trade Joel or Camby for a Kings ransom. We do hold a terrific advantage with those guys, as top teams are desperate for their services. Maybe we should play Babbitt...as unsong heroes have stepped up in the past.
