emeka okafor broke the record of most consecutive double-doubles by a rookie against washington finishing with 18 points and 11 rebounds on way to his 16th double double. But the old record was owned by no other than SHAQ. so does this tell us that in a few years okafor will be the most dominating force in the league?

okafor is amazing...i love him. Howard aint no slouch, but i think Okafor will be the future big man of the nba. Him and Chris Bosh

He is definitely giving the NBA the more depth it needs at the C spot. I feel if he was on a better team like Shaq was, he would not have broken the record. In the near future I see him with 20 10 averages though.

Chris Bosh needs to learn consistency. He also needs to bulk up (only 235). And, to top it all off, he needs to be more aggressive. He's only getting 7 rpg and less than 1 bpg. So in other words, he's not the most aggressive player defensively. If he can do this, he'll be great. Otherwise, he'll just be a mediocre power forward that couldn't live up to potential.

okafor is putting up +2pts and +4.5 rebounds per game
okafor is putting up .41 blocks per game better

bosh is putting up .17 more steals than okafor
bosh is averaging 47% from the field to okafors 45%
bosh is getting .3 more assists per game

    here's the kicker's that makes ^ impressive

    1) Bosh is playing 3 minutes less per game than okafor
    2) Bosh has not been has main an option has okafor. (raps>bobcats)
    3) Bosh is 20 Okafor is 22

Could Okafor be putting up 13 and 7 on 47% shooting 2 years ago?
Most people dont realize how young he is, he still has along time to fillout and develop. In my opinion Bosh will be a top 3 player in 5 years.

His numbers are very very good for a 20 year old big man. Not KG-ish, but not far off, statistically speaking.
