Well, it is official. Vinny is now a Cowboy at 40. I think this is a good move for the Cowboys, and I really don't care whether he ends up starting or not.

It will be nice to have a vet like him on the team for leadership and a little more stability. He should be the backup until Henson gets his feet under him. But Parcells is no dummy. If he can perform better than anyone else, why wouldn't he be the starter?

It was refreshing to watch the press conference and see a player that was professional, knew how to speak, how to say things tactfully. Educated even.

BTW, Hutchinson was hurt in NFL Europe and will be unable to play the last game. He also will not be able to participate in the mini camps this weekend and next week. Sounds like the writing is on the wall for him. Late round draft picks for trade bait are welcome.

Here's hoping that Tony Romo makes the practice squad.

    1. Carter
    2. Testeverde
    3. Henson
    Practice - Romo

I have a feeling that next year will look completely different, if not by the end of the season.....

I think it's a good move for the Cowboys as well. Testeverde will contribute to the Cowboys on and off the field. In fact, he may have his biggest impact off the field.

Parcells knows his people... and Vinny is one of his guys. He counted on him in New York and will give him a chance, even at 40, in big D. It's a solid move for both parties.

It is absolutely a great move for the Cowboys. Carter has done nothing for them, but help them lose. Okay, last year they made the playoffs...but still they ned someone experienced in there.

I think this might be the more important part of your post, Cowboy. I can't imagine this group of QB's not being completely different in one or two seasons from now.
