"There appear to be two Mel Tuckers.

There is the low-key, mild-mannered Tucker off the field who tends to speak in a monotone.

And then there is the Tucker who steps on the field and is constantly coaching after every play, urging his players to "compete'' and critiquing each play.

Tucker, the team's assistant head coach/defensive coordinator, has moved on from being passed over for the head coaching job last January after serving as interim head coach for five games when Jack Del Rio was fired.

"I'm way over that,'' Tucker said."
