    I can't help but wonder how the players' parents are reacting. Are they ashamed...or are they defending the little louts?

    fuck those guys. The problem I see with punishing them though is that you don't want people to not do that because they are afraid to get in trouble, but rather not do that type of thing because they believe its the wrong thing to do. I guess not doing it at all is enough of a win for now.
