We'll do what we always do. Nothing. In the next week, facebook will have people posting "we're with Orlando" or "Orlando strong", maybe change their profile picture to the rainbow colors, and then we'll get over it.

If kids getting killed didn't cause us to change anything, nothing will.

Sick. 50 dead and 53 injured at gay nightclub. I wonder how this is going to play out once we discover his motives. Is it a religious thing, is it an anti-gay thing, is it both... Were there gun laws that were violated, were there gun laws that would have made a difference? Was he on a terror watch list? Were any members of his family on a terror watch list? Did he act alone? Were there warnings on social media that weren't taken seriously? Did he have a history of mental disorder? There are so many unanswered questions. Right now I'm just sick. I'll wait and hear the answers to these questions as they trickle out.

Fuck. Worst mass shooting ever in the U.S. How many of the injured will end up dead?

The number of dead went from 20 to 50 in short order. There's still 50+ injured, maybe struggling to live.

NBC News spoke with the suspect’s father: ‘We’re apologizing for the whole incident… This had nothing to do with religion,” he said. He went on to say that “his son got very angry when he saw two men kissing in downtown Miami.”

The NBC News report also notes that approximately 320 people were in club when the shooting began.

Next we'll hear about how if all the people at the club had been armed, the number of dead and injured would have been much smaller.....same tragedy, different day, business as usual......

That religion does not mix well w/America and our culture. I don't understand how many people have to die before this country wakes the fuck up. Also blaming this on gun control is the stupidest thing I've ever seen. Crazy loons like this will get their hands on anything to do what they do because these people do not abide by laws.

Wow! Let's see if there is a succinct description of the horrific event.

A Muslim immigrant from Afghanistan, legally armed to the max (licensed to carry) decided to rid the world of a mass of non believers.

It seems to me, there are many things that should not be allowed to happen here, but I bet the majority will blame the iron the attacker carried as the prime
    cause of the slaughter.

He obviously passed a back ground check being a security guard, but the back ground checks ignore the obvious.

That may even be more worrisome.

    Quran
Quran (7:80-84) - "...For ye practice your lusts on men in preference to women: ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds.... And we rained down on them a shower (of brimstone)" - An account that is borrowed from the Biblical story of Sodom. Muslim scholars through the centuries have interpreted the "rain of stones" on the town as meaning that homosexuals should be stoned, since no other reason is given for the people's destruction. (The story is also repeated in suras 27 and29).
Quran (7:81) - "Will ye commit abomination such as no creature ever did before you?"This verse is part of the previous text and it establishes that homosexuality as different from (and much worse than) adultery or other sexual sin. According to the Arabic grammar, homosexuality is called the worst sin, while references elsewhere describe other forms of non-marital sex as being "among great sins."

Quran (26:165-166) - "Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing"

Quran (4:16) - "If two men among you are guilty of lewdness, punish them both. If they repent and amend, Leave them alone" This is the Yusuf Ali translation. The original Arabic does not use the word "men" and simply says "two from among you." Yusuf Ali may have added the word "men" because the verse seems to refer to a different set than referred to in the prior verse (explicitly denoted as "your women"). In other words, since 4:15 refers to "your women", 4:16 is presumably written to and refers to men.

Interestingly, the same rules don't seem to apply in paradise, where martyrs for the cause of Allah enjoy an orgy of virgins and "perpetual youth" Quran (56:17) (otherwise known as "boys" Quran (52:24)). Quran (76:19) bluntly states, "And immortal boys will circulate among them, when you see them you will count them as scattered pearls."Technically, the mere presence of boys doesn't necessarily mean sex, however it is strongly implied from the particular emphasis on the effeminacy, handsomeness and "freshness" of the boys. The female virgins of paradise are also compared to pearls (56:23).

[Editor's note: We are not implying a link between homosexuality and pedophilia here anymore than we are implying one between heterosexuality and pedophilia when recounting that Muhammad's preferred wife was a 9-year-old girl.]

Yeah i told you the religion of peace is very anti-gay. And now ignoring their systemic postition on it has manifested into a terrible tragedy.

We can do all the Twitter hashtags in the world about how its "not in their name" but look up their positions on gay issues. One of the worst but since muslims are a protected class in this country people tuen he other cheek.

TRANSCRIBED EYEWITNESS ACCOUNT: "When we got a ten second break [from gunshot sounds, probably during reloading?] we went through this alleyway which led for only employees and me and this random guy tried blocking the door, cause at that point like I said the bullets were getting louder and closer so we blocked this door, and we did hear banging, and I pray it wasn’t anyone trying to escape, because I would forever feel guilty. but at that point there was about 20 people infront of us crammed in this little alleyway, with a big hole in one of the fences, and just trying to topple over, just trying to escape, just trying to run.”
