As fans anxiously await the premiere of Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, they latch onto any news they can get about the "psychedelic romance" storyline and its characters. Here are some details about the characters who will and will not be a part of the show. Once Upon a Time in Wonderland is a spin-off of ABC's Once Upon a Time and follows Alice as she goes back to Wonderland to rescue her love, the genie, from the Red Queen and Jafar. According to Entertainment Weekly there will be an alliance between the show's two villains: Jafar and the Red Queen. As previously reported, Lost's Naveen Andrews will play the staff-wielding villain and the Red Queen will be played by Emma Ribgy. The creators and actors are interested in portraying these characters not as purely evil, but complex, realistic characters who were driven to their evil ways.
