Vikings owner Zygi Wilf, who visited a Brainerd, Minn., middle school Thursday with running back Adrian Peterson, told KFAN-AM he wasn't concerned about a possible suspension for McKinnie because of the team's depth. ... Peterson said he hoped to outdo his 1,341-yard rookie rushing total. "Two thousand yards; that's my goal," he was quoted as saying by KARE, Channel 11. ____________________________________________________________ Before the McKinnie ordeal I wouldn't doubt a thing he predicted, but "if" Big Mck loses time your talking about half the dominant left side, a side where "AD" picked up 634 of his rushing yards in contrast to his 421 he picked up on the right side (286 down the middle). And if Minnesota can't get thier passing game to a respectable level I'd be hard pressed to believe his claim. I however see him pushing 1,500 if McKinnie loses significant time. Keep in mind that with Minny's defense there will be many more closer games which means they won't have to pass nearly as often and can just grind it out on the ground and milk the clock so "AD" will have plenty of carries to work with.
