First I had to give my first real speech for public speaking. I haven't been so scared in a long time, but I managed to get through it. And if you saw me for a few hours after class ended my face was still flushed, LOL. My speech was on Julie Amero, a former sub teacher in Conn. who was arrested, tried, convicted, and then had her conviction of risk of injury to a minor overturned all because the class room computer was infected of spyware. In case you wondering I got a 89 out of a possible 100. If I wasn't so jumpy I would have gotten a A but oh well. And then I was on my way home so I stopped at Dillions for some food when I suddenly heard sirens, and out of nowhere four Haysville cops going flying by me (there were two others that came from the other direction), one only a few feet from my car. It turns out they where in the middle of chasing some old, gray, beat up car and even though they had the car basically surrounded on 47th he slipped by them and came back around the Dillions parking lot, then turned right on Broadway and headed back toward Haysville. When I went into the store everything was talking about how cool it was and what a great driver the guy is. I have no clue what happened after that, except that even 20 minutes later when I came back out of Dillions I was still hearing sirens. That's the second time I have come way to close to a car chase, back in the Spring of '07 I was cruising down McArthur with no one else anywhere around me, and out of nowhere a white Cadillac Escalade back flying off the I-235 exit and hit the intersection divide with the front left tire. First it started leaning to the right, then corrected and for a few seconds it looked like the SUV would stay on all fours but then the drivers started to try and go but they SUV leaned to left and slammed to the street. Glass went flying everywhere, and the driver climed out of SUV and started running toward the nearby lumber yard. A couple of seconds later a cop came off the exit and headed toward the parking lot where the driver was running, and after the guy run around a circle for a few seconds the cop pulled his gun, and dude lied down on the cement with his hands behind head. So, all in all a pretty eventful day.
I know Windows and spyware are bad, but a conviction for risk of injury to a minor seems a bit extreme. How did that happen?
Shortly after class started porn starting popping up on the class room computer and the prosecutor's office claimed that it was because the teacher was surfing porn websites, but that was later proven to be false by some computer experts who found a spyware program which had installed itself days before. haha...have you ever had the pop up "hey everyone, i'm looking at gay porn" that blasts on your computer and locks the computer up? it used to be at like iraqis.org/bomb or something like that. I used to send that to people.....puts a huge pic of two dudes sucking each other off on the computer screen then blasts that wording on the comp.
