Just for shits and giggles, propose a trade (that WORKS, according to some trade machine) that gets rid of all the players you think we should trade AT ONCE. Bonus points for plausibility (i.e., the other team would want to do it) and getting our players into situations that fit them.
Here's mine (unfortunately, if you involve 5 teams it won't show them all at once, so the Sixers (who get Brogdon) were off the screen, so I've pasted them in the lower right. Obviously picks can be involved too, but I haven't bothered with that here:

Probably the Nets object to taking on Richaun Holmes, but maybe they can flip him. We end up with way too many players, too, but we can decide who we like. I'm just sick of watching the players we have, and Chauncey is apparently unfireable, so...

Matisse would like this trade, because Korkmaz is his best bud.

I realize that we lose a lot of shooting in that trade. Could get ugly. But then, we're losing by 60+ and are currently the worst team in the league by several measures so how much uglier could it get?

You want Ben Fucking Simmons? I admit, I was intrigued by the idea in the offseason, but he's solidified his loser status.

This is like the 3rd year in a row he's done all this publicity of off-season workouts, and getting back on track, then the season rolls around and he sits out. Hey, I can't say his injuries are not legit, but I wouldn't want this boat anchor on my team.

And you're dealing Simons and Grant away for what? Is this a joke?

I want one fewer year of contract than Ayton has. Notice we also end up with $15M lower payroll THIS year, as well as much fewer contract years going forward. When your team's as shitty as ours is, it might as well be cheap (the Donald Sterling motto).

Feel free to add as many picks as you like coming our way. I assume you either like our team or think you can come up with a better trade - so which is it?

No picks coming back in any deal?
It's basically those 4 players for Black and Reed. No thanks

Seems as if we should be getting good young players back and I don't see much of that in this trade, I guess I am not interested in trading Ayton as long as he is willing to learn to be better. I also really like Grant, so would want a young lottery pick type guy back for him. Or a lottery pick itself.

He said pretty clearly that he just "didn't bother" with putting picks in there.

You were lazy by saying, uh, and some picks. That's a huge part of the return(hopefully). You've yadda yadda'ed the primary return and then call us lazy? You do know the site you used allows you to input picks, no?

Coming up with trade ideas is fun, but I don't understand coming up with these massive complex trades that have no hope of ever taking place.

Sure, but then I would have had to listen to arguments about how good the picks are and that's just boring.

99.999% of the trades proposed on this board have no hope of ever taking place. I guess we need to shut this site down.

    Alright, I'll play.
Straight dump of Ayton for 2nds in 27 and 28
Grant for a '26 pick and '28 pick(best of Philly or LaC)
Brogdon and Williams for '25 pick.
76ers duck the tax, and get 2 contributors on the wing for playoff push.
    Sacramento addsveteran scoring.
Detroit has $$ to spare, so take a low risk high reward flyer on an Ayton/Duren pairing up front
Houston rumored to like Brogdon and Williams. Give expirings and a Brooklyn pick.
Portland hits reset with future picks and a good amount of cap space this offseason.

Deals would have to be staggered to waive players before more came in.

I was gonna say...what's the worst contract in the NBA right now?

That's probably what Cronin will do.

Dumping ground and lots of picks. We're talking serious long term rebuild, not a quick turnaround to contention. Even the fully optimistic Blazer reporters are adding a few more years to create a playoff monster.

Maybe they're wrong? I dunno... it's just lots of bad basketball with some good players, and a "we're much better then the Pistons" blueprint.
