    Indianapolis Star -
Jermaine O'Neal has talked repeatedly of the possibility of seeking a trade but has recently toned down his position.

"I want to retire here, but I understand the business part of it," he said. "The business part is brutal. If they feel they can't rebuild the team, they have to tear the team down."

It`s good he`s realizing this now. O`Neal is the franchise of this team, if they can`t build enough to help him win, why should he stay?

I think staying with the same team your whole career(almost for J Oneal) its nearly as good as playing for many teams and winning 1 title.

I love his determination, but let's be serious. The guy isn't going to get anything accomplished here in Indiana anymore. They just don't have the type of team they use to have to get them atleast 45+ wins. If O'Neal wants to get anything accomplished in his career, he must demand a trade imo.

Yeah, you're right.. It's pretty sad about what happened to this team. I hope he can get a trade which benefits this team and JO.
