    I think GMs are starting to realize that flexibility is good. How many trades couldn't go through over the last couple of years b/c of the rule that you can't go above 15?

    And if you happen to save a few hundred $k in the process, gravy.

    This also hurts the DLeague affiliates with NBA teams not willing to send players down to develop because they don't want to use up roster spots or have those contracts count against the cap.

    I'd like to see what happens in the D-League when a draft pick goes down. Does the attendance increase? Do they get more pressure to play the draftee? Is there tension b/w the DLeaguers and the draftees?

    Yeah they should at least have a practice squad like the NFL that has no effect on roster spots. I don't want to see the developmental process impaired because of some small detail.
