    Our remaining games:
    Dallas
    @ LA Lakers
    Oklahoma City
    Golden State

We are currently tied with OKC and the Spurs for 6th - 8th. Let's look at their schedules.
    OKC's last 4 games:
    Phoenix
    @ Golden State
    @ Portland
    Memphis

    Spurs last 4 games:
    Memphis
    @ Denver
    Minnesota
    @ Dallas

Of the three teams, I think the Blazers have by far the hardest remaining schedule. If the Blazers are to get the 7th or 6th place, they need to beat some of these remaining tough games. By far, the most important game is the OKC game.

Thoughts on the remaining schedule or contests?

We beat Dallas and OKC, I think we get at least the 7th seed. Assuming we beat Dallas, lose to the Lakers and then beat OKC that ties us and we own the tie breaker while we play Golden State who we should beat. Right now my eyes are trying to beat out OKC while hoping the Spurs lose to, as it seems we have more of a shot to beat OKC. But we have to beat one of Dallas or the Lakers and OKC or we will probably be 8th. We will be 8th for sure if we lose all three, and high chance of getting 8th if we lose to Dallas and LA while beating OKC.

We definitely have the tougher set of opponents, but 3 out of 4 at home certainly helps to offset that. I also look at it as an opportunity to really step up our intensity level moving into the postseason. Regardless of who we end up facing, I'm hoping we don't look quite as shell-shocked in game 1 as we did last year...

If we beat OKC, we have both tie-breakers....

I guarentee the Blazers do not finish in 8th if they beat OKC

Seems like a couple weeks ago we were talking about how tough OKC's and SA's schedules were, then the Lakers, Celtics, and Cavaliers decided to play like crap/Thunder and Spurs played like champions when they played those teams. Besides, didn't the Spurs lose to the Nets last week a night after blowing out the Celts in Boston? With how crazy things are right now, the Blazers could go 3-1 with the one loss coming against GS. Who knows...

2-2, 7th spot in the playoffs (which isn't bad unless Utah gets #2).

That is my prediction. If that happens, IMO, it would be an extremely successful season.

The 6th seed would be great.

Since the teams are so even from seeds 2-8 I think the 7th seed will have a realistic chance of knocking off the 2nd seed. That would mean we would have HCA in the second round if we can win the first series. Hopefully this postseason ends up being like the one we had in 1999 where we kind of come out of nowhere and somehow end up making it to the WCF.

That's how I want to play the Lakers!

Which of the 6,7,8 seed teams stand the best shot at knocking out the Lakers in round one?
