Oh okay you quoted a different post so I was confused.

Im happy to get a highly recruited safety in this program. They seem few and far between.

yeah, one with elite physicality & speed. Then he blew out his ankle and then knee and lost what made him special.

between 2024's class of Flowers & Woodyard and now 2025's McNutt, Oregon has landed the most vaunted Safties in program history. The CBs in this and the last class have been pretty much the same. We shall see...

I know people will say the line is what’s made those SEC teams like Alabama and Georgia so good. But I’d argue elite safeties were equally important.

It’s not a position that’s easy to get amazing talent. The Ducks were pretty fortunate with the transfer of Christian Gonzalez

Shades of your Hoopguru response, Gonzalez wasn't a Safety... he played Corner Back at Colorado and Oregon

Yeah I guess you’re right he was a DB. Touché.

Boyett and Chung were probably the last impact safeties

Listed 6'3 225 Elee is likely to be a LB in college. He hails from the same Baltimore HS as Duck class of 2024 Cornerback Ify Obidegwu. He's in the class of 2026 or the one after this current one.

An elite 2026 DT who is high on the Ducks is Vegas's James "Tank" Carrington. He's visited Eugene multiple times and theres been some chatter he's on the verge of declaring, dude is a wrecking ball

Verone McKinley was really good, and so was Jevon Holland. Mekinley was 2nd team all-American; Holland was the 38th pick in NFL draft

Ugo Amadi had moments, but some of those moments weren't very good

I've passed along the link below a few times as it does a really good job of relaying where everyone on the roster lines up and lets you see where the team's strengths and weaknesses are. Going into this year it's hard to pick out which positional group is the strongest or weakest as they all seem so stacked with talent both experienced & young. Maybe the Linebacker position is lacking some quality depth in the middle... Jacobs staying healthy is a real key to their D being dominant. The best positional group is a toss up between the TEs, WRs, RBs, OLine, DLine & DBs... oh and Gabriel is a frontrunner for the Heisman. In week 1 I'm thinking Idaho is going to have their hands full :P The first few games should allow them to let the backup QBs gain some experience. I really like both Moore and super athlete Novasad

Ducks in the mix for Utah 4* OT Aaron Dunn who announces this afternoon. He's expected to stick in the West choosing between UO, Utah and USC. Oregon's RT Cornelius runs out of eligibility following this year and is expected to play on Sundays. Their LT Conerly is just a Junior, but is expected to declare for the draft if all goes well this season, so UO has the allure of potential early PT to dangle... Utah and USC have that as well.

Dunn's announcement comes right after the Tackle above him on the Duck's recruiting wish list (Juan Gaston) declared for Georgia last Friday...
