Re: Oregon moved up to No. 7 in both the AP and coaches' polls That's what I figured. I don't think they'll get above 8th though in the BCS.
Re: Oregon moved up to No. 7 in both the AP and coaches' polls alabama beats lsu, then loses in the CC to whomever, clemson loses, standford loses (obv) boise drops for lack of competition, ok state loses, and we are in the natty again!
Wow... we jumped three spots in the BCS. I must say I'm surprised. So one of LSU and Alabama will lose before the season is over and we've got a shot at beating Stanford. That's two more spots, which would take us into the top 5. Hopefully Oklahoma State loses to Oklahoma, which would put us into the top 4, and there's always a good chance we'll pass Boise State. Unfortunately if Clemson and LSU win out, I don't think we'll be playing in the Natty, but a top three finish is definitely fine by me
From here, either Alabama/LSU, OK State, BSU, Standford and Clemson will be undefeated. BSU is a given as they play all tomato cans. If they make the NC game, it'll be a sin. Assuming we beat Stanford and OK beats OK State, the NC game will be Clemson (weak schedule) and the winner of the Alabama/LSU game.
The winner of the Alabama/LSU game could lose the SEC championship game which would put us right in the mix of things.
i think clemson and ok state will lose i think we will pass boise it depends on the bcs noise from lsu and alabama, alabama or lsu could lose and still be ahead of us
If they lose, I think LSU or Alabama will drop to 8th or 9th, similar to what happened to OU. I'm not so sure about Clemson losing. They don't have much of a schedule left, with only South Carolina or Georgia Tech posing any real threat. Oklahoma St has a big game against Oklahoma, so we'll have to hope that OU can beat their rival.
Good points. However, South Carolina is the worst of all the top 25 teams, IMHO. They play ugly and escape too often. So far, 3 games by 3 or fewer points.
clemson down, ok state needs to lose to Oklahoma, and we are fucking in this thing! (although like i said, alabama could lose to lsu or vice versa, and still be ranked #2 if everyone has one loss)
I am actually kind of worried that Oklahoma will pass us. I swear that school gets way too much credit.
Why worry about something that shouldn't happen? You're going to give yourself ulcers with all that worrying.
If LSU remains undefeated and we win out there's no doubt. I hate this premature National Championship talk, though. Get back to this after the meat of the schedule passes. Play like they did today and they lose to Stanford and USC. Allioti has some work to do.
