Brandon's Prediction
The Lakers will find that Brian Cook is a nice addition to this team, and Kobe will use him throughout the 2nd and 3rd quarters. After a while, this game will turn into a Francis/Kobe scoring frenzy, and Kobe will start to use his teammates again in the 4th. With the Lakers down by one, and a few seconds left, Kobe will hit his first game-winner of the year...and the Lakers will win another one at home, 92-91.

Good preview as usual, but I think Kobe will have a minimal game, I am looking for Odom to have a huge game today. I think Caron will also have a good rebound game after his bad night last night. I look for them both to put up atleast 17. Kobe will get 20 7 and 7, but I look for Odom to get something like 20, 10, and 5. I think Tierre Brown will be in the game a lot for his speed, I dont think Atkins can keep up with Francis. In the long run though I see the Lakers winning this on either a winning shot by Kobe, or just by having a lead to big to come back from in the final minute.

Actually Grant Hill expects to be back for this game I psoted a article on it in the magic fourm. They reported it on ww.nba.com . So doenst look like aeasy win. Either way I think that if the Lakers actually pay attention and give the ball to Lamar this game they will win. Lamar donimated Howard in the first half when the Lakers played us last time, but then they did not give him the ball at all in the second half.

I agree, Lamar getting the ball is a must for us to win. I honestly think Kobe should be the 2nd option tonight behind Lamar. Lamar should be handing it to D12 all nigt long.

Very close game Kobe is having a horrible shooting night so far 2-9 from the field 6 points total. Lamar Odom is dominating like predicted he is 2-4 from the field 13 points so far. He just over powers Howard. I just hope the Magic can pull out a win. Jumaine Jones is having the best game he has had all season by far 20 points already he is killing the Magic.

Kobe once again is struggling shooting, if it wasnt for Jumaine Jones this game wouldnt even be close right now IMO. I hope Jumaine can keep up the hot hand in the 2nd half. I am waiting for Odom, Caron, or Kobe to get hot or we will not win this game because the Magic are just hitting all their shots.

Okay...here's my take on what our lineup should look like right now. I've had enough.

C - Chris Mihm/Vlade Divac
PF - Lamar Odom/Brian Cook
SF - Jumaine Jones/Caron Butler/Luke Walton
SG - Kobe Bryant/Tony Bobbitt
PG - Tierre Brown/Chucky Atkins/Sasha Vujacic

Then, throw Slava, Grant and George on the IR and we are set.

Just a joke...

^lol Jumaine Jones is the get hot or get not type of player... one night he could score like this and another night he will turn ice cold... Caron Butler is far more consistent.

I think of all the players on the team Kobe and Caron are the closest of friends. Caron has been struggling lately but Kobe whispered something to him when he came off of the court and my guess is they were some words of confidence and then he patted him on the butt, I think these two are going to be a great combo in the future for the Lakers.

EDIT: What is wrong with Kobe? He has missed a couple of easy shots, he has missed some FT's. If it wasnt for Mihm and Jones we would not be in this, same with Tierre Brown he has had a nice game by cutting and dishing. Mihm has a new career high also...

Dayuum Stevey with the facial on Mihm. Gotta give Steve props for that regardless of it being the opposing team. But the Lakers got this.

every player has their off nights. we cant expect kobe to put up big numbers on a consistent basis if he's being triple or double teamed.

Kobe needs some rest. He's doing way too much. Time to find a point guard, Rudy.
