With the Magics slow start to the season, 25% shooting the other night

Howard the new acquisition supposed to make them more potent could be moved to allow Gooden to move to his favoured position at the 4.

A deal I would see as a possibility would be

Orlando trades: PF Juwan Howard (18.4 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 3.0 apg in 35.4 minutes)
Orlando receives: C Keon Clark (6.7 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 1.0 apg in 22.3 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -11.7 ppg, -2.0 rpg, and -2.0 apg.

Utah trades: C Keon Clark (6.7 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 1.0 apg in 22.3 minutes)
Utah receives: PF Juwan Howard (18.4 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 3.0 apg in 77 games)
Change in team outlook: +11.7 ppg, +2.0 rpg, and +2.0 apg.

    TRADE ACCEPTED

This would make the Orlando lineup look somemuch more balanced and give the kings a real PF to play in the west.

    Orlandos starting lineup

    Clark
    Gooden
    McGrady
    Giricek
    Lue

    and Utah would look like

    Ostertag
    Howard
    Kirilenko
    Harpring
    Arroyo

Both teams would benfit from this deal anyone think this could happen before the trade deadline if orlando struggle with its new lineup

Huh what? Clark and Gooden play the same position.

They just got Juwan! The Magic won't trade him straight up for for Clark.

    This trade is silly.

Clark has the length to play the 5 in the east and would add some shot blocking and rebounding two things Juwan aint none for

Gooden, Howard, and Clark are all PF's in my book. Only a few teams in the entire NBA have a real center anyway. The bulk of the league has 2 pf's up front. Clark won't help this team score baskets, he will only hurt the offense even more.

maybe putting Clark at Center, which the Magic need desperately. But not trading Howard straight up for him.

Things are fine the way they are now. KJ is right, making a trade for Clark wont solve anything. Hes just yet another PF in the league. Juwan Howard is still a good player he's just struggling now.

That trade would mean the magic get nothing in return on offense

No way we would do that deal. If we are shooting 25% in one game, don't you think we should upgrade on offense? Losing 11.7 ppg, isn't what I had in mind to upgrade the offense.

Wouldnt Clark allow Gooden to play at the 4 and his his quickness advantage. Clark did average 11 and 7 with the Raps as well so is not a disaster on offense either. Giricek could be on the court at the 3 as well giving the offense a boost.

Utah would have to throw in more with that trade, and I doubt they would. I also doubt Orlando would consider trading Howard so soon after getting him - he's coming off a good season in Denver where he was first option and should be fine once he's used the Doc's system and being a support role.

True maybe but Howard was not a very good support player when he had C Webb with him in Washington which proves that he and another big forward just cant co exist. And Juwan certainly cant play the 5 (even in the east) It would be a slight subtraction by the Magic talent wise however would free up time for Giricek and Gooden in there prefered roles which would help there stagnant offense.

Despite Howards slow start, I think the fans down here would stage a revolt if Gabriel made that trade. Howard straight up for clark just isn't going to fly.
