Umenyiora, the lone player representing the Super Bowl champs in Hawaii at the 2008 Pro Bowl, missed the NFC team meeting this morning because of what was described by a Pro Bowl spokesman as “a bad, bad case of the flu.” It’s so bad, in fact, that Umenyiora might be sent home. If he is, the 36-year-old Strahan is up next as the second alternate at defensive end for the NFC squad. The first alternate, Philly’s Trent Cole, is already there as a replacement for Seattle’s Patrick Kerney. Strahan had nine sacks during the regular season and two more in the playoffs, including one of Tom Brady in Super Bowl XLII. They are moving this game to Florida because the players don't want to pay 25 grand to take their third cousins to freaking Hawaii.
