Osi Umenyiora reported to New York Giants training camp on Saturday night. Umenyiora did not practice Saturday. Coach Tom Coughlin said the defensive end arrived close to 4 p.m. He expects Umenyiora to undergo his physical on Sunday. When asked if Umenyiora could practice Sunday, Coughlin answered, "We'll see. We didn't really have a chance to sit down upstairs. I had a chance to see him, say hello." Coughlin said he did not ask Umenyiora where he was Friday, the first day of camp. "You'd like everybody to be in a great frame of mind," Coughlin said. "I'd like him to come in, I'd like him to be excited about being a Giant and I'd like to put these four defensive ends out on the field together and let them play together. I'd like to take the flexibility that is there and move people around and force problems for the opposition."
