Danny Fortson for Calvin Booth. like it for the mavs, fatson is just not a good player, booth, while he also isn't considered a good player, is decent and better than shawn bradley and has hieght(unlike fatson) seattle... got to wonder why...collison is back healthy, Evens is still there, and Vladimir Radmanovic. http://www.dallasnews.com/sports/
From watching Fortson here in Dallas, I can say he's one hell of a rebounder, averaging over 20 boards per 48 minutes. Frustratingly, he sometimes negated these rebounds by attempting ten pump fakes before getting his shot blocked. But he's a player with some upside if given the chance, which I don't think he's ever really had. I hope Booth is healthy, because he is a shot blocker (something Fortson is not). I'd say Booth is about a push compared to Bradley. Hopefully, my man D.J. Mbenga will be the starting center for Dallas next year (the next Ben Wallace!).
Forston and Booth were both unwanted in their respective teams. They both have almost identical contracts and do not really make a big impact on the team. This deal was a wash, and there is really nothing else to say about it. The only significance to the Warriors is that I guess the Mavs have given up on Damp.

11/11 is pretty darn good for 28 minutes a game. Which leads me to believe your point about being the locker room cancer is right on the money. He certainly lived in Don Nelson's dog house.
Here is my question. Since Fortson averaged a double/double and Murphy averages a double/double, what is the big deal about averaging a double/double. I never understood this. I never understood why Murphy was considered such a good player because he averaged a double/double.
Because Fortson's numbers are inflated because he is the ultimate garbage player, Murphy has an offensive game and can score many different ways, Fortson can only score one way, and that is 12 pump fakes, two of his own misses and then forcing up and off balanced shot that some how goes in.

Fortson is a one demensional player. He is the defination of a garbage player. If you think Murphy and Fortson are the same type of players and are equal value than you are badly mistaken.
No way Murph is a one-dimensional player lie Fortson. Speaking of which, Murphy is the one guy I'm going to be watching because he keeps talking about using more of his post game in addition to his other variety of moves. The guy will be the scoring that we lacked last year from Dunleavy and Richardson. Frankly, I think he will be the man if he stays healthy. Thanks Map for the article.
