...wow, that's just crazy! Disney continues to eviscerate the ESPN as we knew it http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2584405-espn-announces-it-has-suspended-publication-of-grantland
I don't think this is purely Disney. ESPN management has been making poor decisions for quite some time. They got on top and then got smug. Now they are paying the price piece by piece.
ESPN can suck all the chodes. Fuck them, Grantland was the only thing worth a damn besides Neil Everett.
Probably moved to ESPN Insider. That would be my guess. They won't let him walk though. He's the only writer they probably care about.
He might not even know yet, looks like he was blindsided by this. I did see that ESPN intends to honor all contracts though.
ESPN is making HUGE cuts in my industry. Instead of having TV crews out on the road covering games, they are doing them back in Bristol...... not paying full days for us to travel, cutting it to 1/2 day. Have to pay for that big NBA contract somehow
Yup, and the majority of cord cutters are younger viewers under 40. Advertisers hate older viewers because they're set in their ways and not open to buying new stuff. So cable is losing paying viewers and the ones they keep won't sell advertising.
