Well after doing exhaustive research employing half the scientists at Lawerence Livermore labs we have concluded that the ESPN trade machine is worried about the up and coming Trade Checker (tm) and doesn't want to share. Apparently it would rather just shut down and not play anymore.

At least that's what my mom says.

P.S. The only reason I shared that anecdote in the first place was that I found is surprising that an aging boomer lady like my mom would share the same opinion as a vocal minority on this board.

I think you are going to have to do a bit better then that to get WAS to not hang up the phone. I've been looking at three way trades with MEM, POR and WAS. Rudy Gay to WAS, Butler and Conley to Portland and a WHOLE lot of Blazers to MEM and WAS. I will post it later.

I can't imagine what Washington would want is someone like Gay on their team.

Well, that brings up an interesting question...what would WAS be looking to upgrade? Center? Shooting guard? I just felt like Gay is a talent and can take off some of the scoring burden from Agent 0. You may very well be right. We might be better off seeing if there is interest in Rudy on the part of WAS.

I think Bayless/Miller can hold down the fort as I would like to send Blake in any trade to WAS. Blake is a Maryland boy so we would be sending him to some old stomping grounds. If we can't trade Blake to Miami/Orlando its the next best thing.

I think Washington needs to move Jamison, and find more role players for the team. Butler, Arenas and Jamison is just not a good combo, because none of the three has shown a great ability to play third fiddle. Having two good scoreers like Arenas and butler would lead to a desire to have a slightly mroe role player type in Jamison's spot, as opposed to what they currently have. They have a good team, and good players, just poor fits together. That trio NEEDS to be broken up. And I think Butler should be a target of ours. I just think, for Washington, a player like Battier would make perfect sense fo rthem in a Butler trade. A player that CAN score, and can hit the open shots, but otherwise can allow Jamison and Arenas to do their things, while taking the best scorer each night.
