Our Government has gotten so big, that now it is a self perpetuating entity. People in government (politicians) those employed by government (teachers, city workers etc.) and those supported by the government (welfare, unemployment etc) make up the majority of the population, and have a direct incentive to continue to increase the size of the government. The only way to support this is to pile larger tax bills on the portion of the population that actually pay ANY income taxes. ( Which is just under 60%)

We are headed in the wrong direction my fellow Californians.

$140.00 is a significant amount per family for a lot of Californians. I heard they also got rid of day care stipends for single mothers. Gov. Arnold originally said he didn't want to ever raise taxes, cut spending, and would have an OPEN book on where tax payer money was going. Maybe people need to start calling him out on that and get some accountability on the mis-appropriation of tax payer money.

Just wait until prices at the pump start creeping up to $5.00 per gallon again.
