Wallace would be perfect on this team. Batum's still a few seasons away. Martell and Outlaw have both failed to take the spot. Make it happen Pritchard

I wouldn't mind it if it were closer to the trade deadline. I want to see what Webster can do when he comes back.

I think Wallace would be an easier target....since other teams would pony up more to get Butler

Agreed, I don't think Washington is going to blow anything up until they get Arenas back fully healthy (if that's ever going to happen?) I like Caron, but he duplicates a lot of what Brandon provides for this team, Wallace on the other hand is a more defensive minded, hustle guy who gets a lot of his touches from offensive boards, and leaking out on the break instead of called plays or jump shots.

Even though I would absolutely love Wallace here in Portland, I still wish that he could shoot the rock a little better.

yeah, that would always be nice....but his perimeter defense would work wonders....not to mention you could stick him on any top scorer from SG to SF on the perimeter...a very valuable luxury

if he could he'd be one of the elite talents in the league... a guy no team would look to part with. As it is he's merely a better version of Kersey. I think his talents would fit wonderfully with whats here and that his lack of an outside threat is not that big a deal considering everyone else besides the 5's can spread the court. Geez adding Bayless to a lineup of Roy Wallace LA and Greg would give them a scary lineup of big athletes with complimentary talents.

I started speculation on him last year on BBF as I felt he was not only talented but potentially someone the Bobs might part with... but that was before they hired Larry Brown. Unfortunately for the PTB, I think he's probably going nowhere now as he's Larry's sort of plays the game the right way player.

I agree with everything to a "T"...up to the last part. I think if the right deal of expiring contract, youth and a pick comes along....they would seriously think about it...they are rebuilding. I wouldn't be surprised to see Diaw dealt before the deadline if it can bring the the Cats a Center.

Better than .472? Roy is shooting .473 and this forum acts like he's a god.

While that isnt bad, consider that Wallace's shots are coming closer to the basket for the most part...just a thought

true, but he is a slasher who draws fouls...so what needs to be looked at as well is his FT percentage....and since he's shooting 78% at the stripe I'd say he makes up for it pretty well

I am just glad we have moved on from Shane Battier and Mike Miller. Both Wallace and Butler are good options.

as much as I like Mike Miller and as dangerous a shooter as he is...I'm looking at who would help the Blazers more and with his defense I'm backing Gerald Wallace

Yeah, I agree with you. It would be nice if he was a better 3 point shooter, but his offensive skillset is actually exactly what the Blazers need. Roy is really the only player on the team that drives to the hoop with any regularity.

Not only his defense but his style of offense. We have guys who can shoot the three. That is not our weakness. Attacking the basket is. Wallace would help.

yup yup...I mentioned that...with his ability to slash and his 78% FT percentage...he would fit in just fine
