Sounds like a big risk, especially if they are sending young talent in return.

If I were Orlando, I might jump at that if GS throws in a pick or two.

Really? I think Curry is damaged goods. His ankle just keeps rolling.

What do you think the Blazers could offer Orlando for a "Dwight Howard Rental"?

Leaves the Blazers MIGHTY THIN in the midcourt. I would counter with Batum, Oden, Williams, and picks. (having NO IDEA if the salaries are in any way a match)

Warriors might as well. Hate ellis but he can score. Wright is alright too. I guess this would be the same approach nj took with deron.

If we were to "rent" Howard with hopes of winning a title (or at least getting to the dance) then I would be careful of who we would trade -

The keepers would have to include:

    Felton
    Matthews / Crawford
    Wallace / Batum
    LMA
    Thomas

I would part with everyone else and protected picks. These picks could be structured to become unprotected should Howard re-sign.

If Howard were to leave and not re-sign, then we could also let Wallace go and our cap would have plenty of room.

If Howard were to sign, we may have to let Wallace go, unless he were to re-sign at a reasonble figure.

Brilliant move. Go big or go home. They aren't winning shit anyway, so why not go for it?
