I said at the time, it was a bad signing for the Raptors. Not becuase I think Hedo sucks. Not because he won't be productive in Toronto's system. But, because you don't commit that kind of money to a player that old unless he's the missing piece that makes you a contender. The Raptors won 33 games last season, Adding Hedo (along with all their other moves), might get them into the 1st round of the play-offs, but they have little chance of getting out of the 1st round and most certainly will not contend for a title.

And, there is a very good chance Bosh will leave next summer and then they are stuck trying to rebuild with their hands tied by Hedo's ridiculous contract.

Sure, he's a decent player, and a great role player on a championship caliber team. But he's not enough to put Toronto over the top. They are still a very weak rebounding, poor defending team (and got worse in both areas by giving up Marion to land Hedo). With their lack of rebounding and poor defense, they are doomed to fail in the post season. Is one and done in the play-offs for a year, followed by four years in the lottery (if Bosh leaves) really worth $53 million?

I'm glad we didn't end up getting him. I would have liked to see him here for 2 years, but I sure am glad we didn't tie up ~$50million on him.

IMO, Miller will be worth more wins than Hedo for the next 2 years.

yeah that one destroyed me! I remember that was my first playoff game. Kobe driving down.. we go to help and BAM Horry is open for 3.. as sad as you could make a 15 year old Blazer fan.

Regret what? I don't give to fucks about how good Serbia does. He is basically the only NBA caliber player on that team IIRC. In Toronto, he has Bosh, Calderon, Bargnani, DeMar, just wait. It's not even pre-season, so I'll wait till the season starts.

Do you feel that he was work $53million for 5 years at this point in his career? Regardless of his performance this summer, are you happy with that decision? Knowing that he isn't the piece to get you into the Finals or elite group of teams?

Yeah, it was Larry Bird, with Kersey smothering him in the corner.

$103 million among Turkoglu and Bargnani for the next five years.

Why the hell do Raptors' fans put Colangelo on a pedestal?

Fruits is the reason we got Wright, Jack, George (then Belinelli) while ditching Hump and Jawai.
