Anyone watch the end of the Orlando game last night? Some interesting observations from this game. On the final possession Rashard Lewis had isolation on KG and went right around him on the baseline for the game winning layup. You can just see how immobile KG is with his knee injury and is practically dragging his injured leg around. He has really lost a step and I'm not sure if this type of injury is something that is going to heal by the post season. KG is Boston's best defensive matchup to slow LeBron down, but if he's not healthy LeBron should be able to get to the rim at will against Boston assuming they meet up. I was also surprised Perkins was in the game on the final possession. After Shard got past KG, Rasheed Wallace was late on the rotation and Shard had an uncontested layup. Orlando's big lineup with Howard-Gortat-Lewis on the court gave Boston trouble on their defensive matchups. Last night was also a reminder of how terrible Vince Carter has been in Orlando. He can't close out games the way Hedo did for Orlando last year.
BTW, love how you're declaring KG done because of one play. Have you been reading a lot of Kingspeed threads?
I'm not declaring him done, I was pointing out how he struggled on that specific play and how easy Rashard got around him in isolation. It's something to keep an eye on if KG's injury doesn't improve.
I wanted to ask Thrilla about that after I saw Sportscenter last night. Is it the same knee injury as last year?

He has only been back for a few games. It's the same knee but a different injury. The team doctor says he's 100% and any discomfort you might see is most likely mental. I actually thought KG did a decent job. Rasheed just never rotated like he's supposed to.
