I know people say KG is the kind of player you hate when you play against but love when he's on your team, but I dunno. As great a player as he is, he is absolutely the most unlikable guy in the league. "The big ticket"? How about the "Big Douche"?
I dunno, winning has a way of making guys pretty likable (or unlikable, depending on who you root for).
had a rep for being a dirty player for a long time - at the end of his career he'll be remembered for it too.
Wow... KG = such a big asshole. Forgot about his scuffles with his own teammates. What a bitch.. I hope we don't have to see a Boston-LA NBA Finals again... that'd make me puke.
well i think people who have seen him play a lot know how he is, just now he is on national and international tv more, its more obvious/apparent.
remember when Kobe used to shoot jumpers and after he shot he'd throw elbows into his defenders to "draw a foul." Except the NBA caught on and suspended him. It kind of reminds me of that... or I hope Kobe does that to KG.
Some similarity I guess, but KG seems like so much more of a coward. Starting fights with smaller guys, only to run away like a baby. Kobe will just do anything to win, but I don't think he is out to hurt folks the way Garnett sometimes seems to be. Kobe does seem to be a LOT more mature. Oof, KG must really be an A-Hole if I am defending Kobe in comparison. HAHA, I think that would put me into the uncomfortable situation of rooting for LA again. I hope the Cavs take the Celts out and molest them in the bark dust behind the porta-potty* so we don't have to witness the two most obnoxious teams in the league (and Ray Allen) in the finals again. *In basketball terms, that is.
I'm not going to lie, there isn't a player I've lost so much respect towards then Kevin Garnett the past few months. Picking on smaller players, the unnecessary trash talking, the list goes on. Garnett used to be my favorite player, but now he's one that I can't stand.
I've been posting on message boards since well before KG became a Celtic. The first complaints I ever saw about him came last April from a few angry Hawks fans who worship Zaza Pachulia.
Unless all the KG bitching was going on through private messages, I think I've been paying perfect attention. Pre 2008, no one had an issue with KG. Or at least, they didn't voice it.
Nope, it was back when he was with the Timberwolves. It was a lot like when Iverson won the MVP. The league covered up his spots, and fans thought he was a lot nicer than he is. KG has been a punk for years, and him being in Boston has only exposed him to more fans because he's on TV a lot more now than when he was in Minnesota.
