Utah has just sunk into the 8th spot. You called it Eric. I didn't think it was possible, but the Jazz are sinking fast. If there was another five-six games left, they would have sunk right out of the playoffs all together.

i wouldn't go that far. they're still 4 games up on the suns. no chance they lose that in only 5-6 games.

i'll be happy to see the jazz get knocked out by the lakers in the first round.

I have to give Speed credit on that one, as I was completely wrong. I though Denver would implode, Utah would win the NW, and Portland would end up 2nd.

    Rep to you, Eric.

I'll be happy to watch that series. If Okur can hit his outside shot, Bynum becomes a liability, and Williams can't be guarded by anybody on the Lakers. I see it going at least 6 games if that is the match-up.

i'm sure they'll have gasol and odom guarding okur as they are more mobile and that way they still have bynum as a physical presence inside.

Bynum is quick enough, I imagine he could probably guard Boozer.

Really? I don't see it. Series is 1-1 this year, and Williams and Okur have gone off against the Lakers.

    2/11.

No Boozer or AK for Utah, no Bynum for LA.

So a while ago, but not like it was the beginning of the season. Hmm... I just think they're playing such shitty basketball right now.

Thanks guys. I'm not right yet, but if I put money on it, I'd bet on the Jazz finishing 8th. I would've all along. They're a terrible road team and their closing schedule was/is brutal. They surprised me with a win in New Orleans against a slumping Hornets team, but they made up for it with a home loss to the Timberwolves.

If Utah does finish 8th, I'm in a pickle. I always root for the 8th seed (unless the #1 seed is Cleveland or Portland) and I hate the Lakers. But I will find absolutely no pleasure in the Jazz winning a playoff series. It doesn't matter what I think, though. The Jazz will probably get swept.

A team that is virtually intact from being a Western Conference Finalist two years ago has no excuse for being that kind of road team right now.

If NO is 8, I will totally root for them to take down the Lakers. Won't happen though. I want US to play the Hornets. Hornets or Spurs. Really really don't want the Mavs.

I give myself credit. Earlier in the year, there was a post discussing who we had to worry about move, Denver or Utah. I said Denver, while most said Utah. My reasoning is we knew the best Utah had to offer, Denver was still so unknown with Billiups. I still say Billups saved Denver's season. Never underestimate what a top PG will do for you.
