    I just hopes he keeps that piece of tape on his glasses because he is going to be using them a lot to see what the hell is going on in Minnesota!!

    Replacing a legend rarely works out. I think Bryon Scott or Brian Shaw would get the Laker job over him anyway. JVG would make the most sense.

    Yeah, Rambis seems an unlikely choice for the next Lakers coach.
    Heck, they ought to save some money and appoint Kobe player-coach. Old school.

    Mike Dunleavy replaced their last legend coach. Maybe he can replace this one. Conveniently, he's already in LA.

    He might end up being a good choice for them. I can't see where he would be any better than Monty though

    He does have head coaching experience in the playoffs.

    I read a post last year from one of the guys that runs the basketball blog for yahoo sports that said Monty and Pops are very close. They talk almost daily by phone and when Pops steps down as coach of the Spurs to be GM only Monty is the odds on favorite to replace him as coach.
