Let's hope they get the Notre Dame/NBC curse... times a thousand. UT's athletics are nothing without the teams they play, and I think it's unfair that some schools cut deals without appropriately sharing the revenues with their opponents. Ed O.
Since moving and now living amongst the Longhorn fans, it's not that cut and dry. Texas graduates 15,000 people a year, who all bleed orange. I don't have exact numbers, but oregons entire student body is around 25,000. It's huge down here, and it is all about Texas.
I dont know if I can get mad about it... Texas is what its all about.... the whole PAc 16 thing this summer had to do with Texas. Sure there was Oklahoma and co but lets not kid ourselves, Texas was the big get.
The deal is though, Ed, that for football they are only playing two games on the new network, and probably not the good ones since the Big 12 has a contract with someone else. Football being the biggest money maker out there, and they are only going to get 2 games. Longhorn fans bleed this crap. it's a really different level of fandom down here.
