Yeah, I saw that.... I'm still not sure what they would offer. Randolph and Gallinari aren't much for Anthony, even with a first rounder. I think Anthony gets moved, but I think other teams will have to be involved.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the only reason the Nets trade came off the table was because Melo wanted nothing of it. He does not want to go there because he'd be forced to sign an extension to be shipped. He'd rather play out the contract and go their this summer or at the very least, be kind to Denver and allow them to get something for him.

I doubt Melo gives a shit whether Denver gets anything in return.

With the CBA issues changing and very likely max numbers coming down, Melo will most likely not be able to get as much money this summer. In the long run, the money might not matter to him, since it will be a hell of a lot either way, perhaps 55mil instead of 65 for the same 3 year, although he would likely sign a full length contract, whatever the new length allows.

The nets or bulls seem like a better option for Denver, and still likely acceptable for Melo.

if the Knicks get Melo, I can see them making noise in the playoffs.

No doubt. Amare and Melo would be a lethal combo. I know they were talking about a trio with CP3, but I don't see that happening. They won't have much cash left if they get Melo, and their assets will be shit. I'm not sure what kind of bench they would have if they got Melo.

I want it to happen even though they're in my conference just so that they compete with Miami for the future. lol

Amare + Melo + whatever else they can get > LePippen, Wade, Bosh
