OK am I reading something wrong here or is Houston stockpiling mid-first round picks in the weakest draft in recent memory? http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba--s...-chase-budinger-to-timberwolves-20120626.html
Stockpiling for a trade does make some sense if they can full it off. I've been watching ESPN for the past few days and have been confounded by the mixed messages. It seems to me the commentators have been given a talking point about a "deep draft" but I don't see it and after the talking point, it seems to slip that there is nobody not named Anthony Davis who has potential to take a franchise on the shoulders. There are some starters, there are some NBA journeymen but as Broussard has said (and I don't think Ford is in disagreement necessarily) there isn't much difference between #2 and #40 in this draft.
