amazingly patterson never punched john nash when he was GM....i always waited for that breaking news.
He'll last a month in Denver. I wouldn't mind us taking a chance on Rube. He would be a perfect 3 for us. Just keep him locked in a closet in the RG basement between games!
Didn't Ruben already get a chance in Denver with George Karl a few seasons ago? They must be desperate as hell to bring someone in like him to fill out their roster... sad, sad days in Denver..
I can't wait to see Ruben play in the Rose Garden again. This time, they'll have to carry me out to keep me from yelling "Who's your nanny?"
BlazerWookee is there any chance you can get your "Miles" signature onto a Blazer t-shirt? That one is hilarious. Patterson was always known for blowing up even bumping into his old teammates. I tried to look for some youtube clips but couldn't find some that him going a-wall.
That's a great idea. A couple customers of mine are graphics companies, let me see what I can come up with. You know the story behind that, right? I printed the word "DONE" on a sheet of paper, stuck a couple of strips of double-sided tape to the back, and attached it to the sign before the game. When I went down after the game to say "hey" to Wheels and Antonio (they were still broadcasting courtside then), I pointed out the sign to Antonio as he walked off the court. He thought it was hilarious, and went back to Wheels to point out the sign to him, lol...
A Kobe killer who went into the locker room after Kobe has just schooled Ruben several times and asked him if he could have his shoes (autographed). I believe this was after losing a huge game to them that cost us homecourt in the playoffs. I lost what little respect I had for Ruben after that. See comment below youtube video. I remember this game and remember the announcers mentioning it. "i was watching the tV after the game and the commentators said that ruben patterson went into the lakers locker room to ask kobe for his shoes he wore that night, autographed. and kobe gladly gave it to him"
