What's up with Minnesota? With their 42-point blow out win over OKC tonight they've now won 4 straight (undefeated in 2009) and 6 of their last 8 - after starting the season 4 - 23. Kevin McHale may be a clueless GM, but they sure are playing better with him as a coach. Kevin Love has been very productive lately, including 16 points and 15 rebounds in 23 minutes tonight. Randy Foye had 32 points tonight and his scoring has really picked up in the last 10 games. BNM
Right and Oden got 4 pts and 1 rebound in 13 minutes but one of the excuses I got is that he's a rookie. Well Love's a rookie too. Then I hear "but Love didn't have surgery and miss a year!" I guess. When do the excuses stop?
That looks like our schedule over the next 10 games. Let's put together an 11 game win streak here folks!
When you stop looking solely at boxscores for your analysis and start making in-game observations may be a good start. Did you watch Love get his 16/15? Was he dominating a smaller player? A bigger one? Was it a scheme thing? Was he in the right place to get rebounds? Were the opposition leaving him alone in the paint? Etc... That's when excuses stop. When observation and analysis are given the opportunity to trump gut feelings and emotion. (I think one's called "scouting" by those paid to do it, and one's called "being a fan" by an amateur who may or may not know what they're looking at or for)
Correct, but at 4 - 23 they were losing to those same teams until recently - and often by double digits. BNM
KingSpeed, I love you, but you can't be on Outlaw's dick after his inconsistant play and give Oden a hard time on his inconsistant play. Well you can, but the logic doesn't seem to fit. Oden DOES have an excuse, but I don't like to use those just like you. The only excuse I use is all young players are inconsistant. He will eventually learn to bring it every night.
