Seriously, how many players do the Warriors have whose best position is/has been Shooting guard?
Start with Stephen Jackson - he was the starting SG for a Spurs title team.
They've got Jamal Crawford playing point, but for most of his career he's been a SG.
Monta Ellis is PG-sized, but he's always been a SG for them.
Their super-surprise rookie Anthony Morrow (who has just re-surfaced after completely disappearing almost immediately after his good game against us) is a shooting guard.
Kelenna Azubuike has good games for them often - he's a SG.
Marco Belinelli was their last year's Morrow (Yesterday's ToMorrow?) and he busted out last night.
CJ Watson, DeMarcus Nelson and even Corey Magette would be SGs for other teams.

Pity any coach who has to follow Don Nelson with this roster. Pretty soon he's going to want to trade Anthony Randolph and Brandan Wright - they're just not shooting-guardy enough.

Heh sort of funny, but I don't think it's nearly as bad a situation as you're making it out to be. The W's have two of the better combo wings who can handle the ball and create for themselves and others. At 6'6 barefoot with long arms, Jackson is SF sized and can cover most 2-4's very effectively. He and Crawford trade off on who runs their point... I like that sort of flexibility. It should allow them to continue to have Monta play off the ball on offense and guard the 1's on the other end. Crawford is my guess to move to the bench when Ellis comes back, giving them a starting group of Ellis Maggette and Jackson at the 1-3. While unconventional, I think it's a good blend of talents nonetheless, sort of reminding me of the Blazers when they had DA Bonzi and PIP starting. Kelenna Belinelli Morrow Watson and Nelson are backups who'll be pushed further down the bench when Ellis returns. It bears mentioning that Monta is a major talent they are sorely missing... arguably their best player.

Rosters are 15 deep now so their are some imbalanced rosters, but heres their 7 core players if everyone is healthy...

Biedrins, Turiaf, BWright, Jackson, Maggette, Crawford, Ellis... with the rest of the roster fighting for PT scraps. Thats some good size athleticism and talent. I don't pity them
