One superstar, a former superstar, and a 6th man of the year winner and they are 4-19! In the EAST! What the fuck is wrong with them? Would the basketball experts here share their thoughts?
Phil Jackson has already explained it. The guys on the team play loser basketball. They need to clean house, keep Melo, use the high lotto pick well, then sign guys with cap space
Who is he supposed to make better? Jason Smith? Quincy Acy? Their superstar is the only guy on the team getting more than 30 MPG.
That's a coach who has no idea who is on his team and a GM who has no interest in finding an identity for said roster. Total clown town among the supposed adults.
I think the plan is to tank this season and use the high draft pick and lots of cap space to start building a contending team. Given all the salary constraints, there isn't any better option. I reserve my judgment on PJax as GM until we see him in a position to make serious deals.
I wanted no part of Phil in our front office when the discussion came up last year. We will see how his arrogance plays out. I am on record as saying....it won't end well.
http://basketball.realgm.com/wireta...-Up-Hardaway-As-Tension-Between-Two-Increases Carmelo Threatens To Beat Up Hardaway As Tension Between Two Increases Carmelo Anthony and Tim Hardaway Jr. had a verbal altercation during the end of the New York Knicks' loss to the Brooklyn Nets last week. Hardaway screamed "get the rebound!", which Anthony believed was intended for him. Anthony approached Hardaway on the way down the court using an expletive. Anthony used another expletive in telling Hardaway he was going to beat him up when they got into the locker room after the game, according to sources. "Nobody's taken a swing at anybody, but there's a lot of arguing and cursing each other out after games," one source said. Sources said the most tension exists between Anthony and Hardaway, as they haven't cared for each other almost since Hardaway joined the team last season, with each player believing the other shoots too much and doesn't care about defense.
Well then, they should be able to work this out and come to a meeting of the minds, after all, they're both right. BNM
Rookie coach, Diva superstar iso player, thug 6 man, point guard who can't shoot, horrible frontcourt defense, angry lockerroom, Phil Jackson who wants to lose this season. Rumor has it Spike Lee is hanging out in Brooklyn
