They have a bunch of crappy players. And how is DeRozen averaging 34 ppg? He doesn't even shoot threes! Do they have any chance at all of reaching the Finals, let alone win when they get there? Come on, basketball experts. School me.
Derozen get his pts in transition and gets to the line..they play old school up tempo basketball..I think they've got great players myself
They're not that good. First, 9 games... Second, they pay in the East. So, they've had a pretty easy schedule. Third, they are above average, but not by a lot, on both sides of the ball. They don't turn the ball over and are a good offensive rebounding team. That gets them several additional possessions per game, which makes up for the fact that they are a very average shooting team. If they were in the West, they'd most likely finish in the 7th or 8th spots. Solid team, but no way are they making the finals, not even in the East. BNM
am I the only one who doesnt get the Lowry hype? I mean the guys OK, above average on defense. But he's on the wrong side of 30 and cant play worth a damn when it really matters..... what am I missing?
Ben Golliver thinks he's the 14th best player and 4th best PG in the entire league. Right now, he's on pace for a 35/25/85 season. As in .350 FG%, .250 3FG% and .850 FT%. The same article has Dame at 21st overall and 6th best PG. BNM
Toronto has one of the most skilled/best big men in the league in JV. If Lowry/their coach would utilize him more than just as a 3rd, and sometimes 4th option. They'd have a chance against the Cavs in the WCF. Last year the Pacers had to choke for the Geko's to get out of the first round. Then Toronto faced Miami who was missing Whiteside for 4 of the 7 games they played. BB more than made up for the lack of JV. It's not like JV was getting touches with Lowry chucking the whole time... LeBron/Kyrie > Lowry/DeRozan. Until the Geko's use JV more they have no chance against a healthy Cavs team. Shit they couldn't even beat a Cavs team in turmoil last year in the playoffs.
