<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Shaun O'Hara-C/Jay Feely-K Giants Feb. 14 - 11:09 am et Giants general manager Jerry Reese has been in contract talks with free agent center Shaun O'Hara and placekicker Jay Feely.O'Hara is in search of a five-year deal, most likely in the $3 million-per-year range. The Giants are apparently intent on bringing O'Hara back.Cory Redding-DL- Lions Feb. 14 - 10:05 am et Lions free agent DL Cory Redding reportedly didn't seem enthusiastic about returning to the team at the end of last season. It appears he'll be a Lion again, however. Coach Rod Marinelli has been trying to "recruit" Redding to sign long term, but it looks more like he'll be franchised. Redding's agent indicated that may not go over well.Tim Carter-WR- Giants Feb. 14 - 9:45 am et Tim Carter may be the next Giant to be released. The Giants are set to rely on Sinorice Moss as a returner and to man the slot, a role likely to be vacated once Carter receives his pink slip. A second-rounder in 2002, Carter has been a disappointment as a pro. Renaldo Wynn-DL- Redskins Feb. 14 - 8:58 am et The Redskins haven't approached DEs Renaldo Wynn and Phillip Daniels about re-doing their contracts, according to the Washington Post.Wynn ($4.03 million cap hit) and Daniels ($3.27 million) will likely both be slashed if Washington really wants Nate Clements. You'd have to figure the 'Skins will look to draft an end if Wynn and Daniels are both gone.London Fletcher-LB/Nate Clements-CB Bills Feb. 14 - 8:50 am et The Redskins are expected to target cornerback Nate Clements and middle linebacker London Fletcher when the free agency period begins.Corner should be high on the 'Skins' list but it's hard to see them clearing enough cap space to pay Clements to sign. It appears Lemar Marshall will move to the weak side in '07. Team officials won't look to bring back LaVar Arrington because they don't do business with his people.[/b]Mark Brunell-QB- Redskins Feb. 14 - 8:44 am et Mark Brunell's agent is discussing a new contract with Washington. He thinks a deal will be done in a few weeks. Brunell, due $5.2 million in 2007 and rehabbing from labrum surgery, is working to make his conract cap-friendly. The Redskins would save $2 million if they released him.Brad Johnson-QB/Fred Smoot-CB Vikings Feb. 14 - 1:31 am et The Vikings are expected to cut Brad Johnson and Fred Smoot by March. Both players have roster bonuses due early next month. Minnesota is also evaluating the future of Jim Kleinsasser, due $2.9 million in 2007.Jerry Porter-WR/Randy Moss-WR Raiders Feb. 14 - 1:05 am et While the Raiders would save $7.7 million in salary cap space to cut or trade Randy Moss, they'd take a cap hit to move Jerry Porter.Oakland would be best served to give Porter another shot at his $1 million salary, then if he goes in the tank, get rid of him in 2008, a "void year" in his deal. Moss is much more likely to be dealt or even released.</div>Some good stuff in there.
