Derrick Brassard will be coming back to MSG. Zibanejad will be nursing his broken leg.
An improved Ottawa team plays a tight control game. Rangers like a wide open end to end
game. Something has got to give on this matchup.

Very early......Ottawa is forcing the play. Eleven minutes in Rangers getting their shots.
Anderson is stopping everything so far.

PP chance late in 1st period was super to watch but no goal. The damn puck
had a mind of its own......and it would not cross the goal line! 0-0 after one.

Hopefully Vigneault will change up the lines in the third period.

So, who thinks the Rangers have a come from behind win in them tonight?

What a bummer. Shut out at home. Gee, I'll blame it on a compressed schedule! Lol
    No chanting tonight. Sweet dreams.

Ottawa played well. Just shut the Rangers down.

It is more like most of the rangers did not show up for the game including the head coach. Treated it just like another early game on the schedule. Ottawa treated it like it is their last game of the season and their lives on the line.

Disagree Step. Ottawa just shut down the Rangers north-south game. Ranger coach had no answer to what Ottawa was doing. Rangers just have to find a way to get going when not playing their speed game.

So, in the end it was Ottawa's strategy to disrupt the Rangers' rushes.....that win out and
send Rangers' coaches back to drawing board to create different strategies to get Rangers
on the board. Rangers hit a wall tonight, and now they must learn to break it down and
    move on.

Anderson is very underrated goalie. Not sure why he never gets considered for vezina.

Sometimes you have to consider there's another team out there on the ice who has a right to be a good team and play well.

They have trouble against teams who play that defensive style of hockey.. That has to change, Ottawa sucks

I don't see how Ottawa shut the Rangers down. They missed about 4 open nets that should have been easy finishes. Rangers outshot Ottawa 33 to 18. Games like that happen. However, this is another example of a game where Stepan and Kreider for all their talent, just don't show up offensively. Same story with those 2 assclowns every year.
