on top of the other crummy things in my life right now, I got a text from my wife saying that our dog died last night. She was a sweet yorkie who was 15 years old and had seen much better days. She had been suffering and it was her time to go. We got her during the best years my wife and I had together and now she’s gone along with the relationship i had with my wife. Poetic in some twisted way, I suppose.
I'm a huge dog lover (well there are exceptions spd cough) and we had a Yorkie for many years but was killed by a racoon in our back yard which totally devastated me. We also had a mini Schnauzer we had to put down as he had a tumor on his spine and when it became apparent he was in pain and could no longer walk we decided to have him put down. Very sad days indeed as I feel your pain and I used all the great times with them to help ease the loss. We still have dogs as we have a pomeranian/ chihuaha mix and a shorkie which is a mix of a shi tzu and yorkie. Sorry to hear about your loss.
I'm sorry for your loss, but I'm happy that your good girl won't have to be caught up in a custody battle.
Sorry to hear that you lost your four-legged friend. The little fur balls wiggle their ways into our hearts and losing them just plain sucks.
Hang in there. It's surprising how cathartic venting in this place and following the Blazers can be -- hope you find a similar outlet.
Damn, sorry bro. We lost ours last summer. Charles BARKley was a part of the family for sure. I never had a dog growing up, i never realized how much they become a part of the family. Keep your head up.
Wow, bad year for losing canine family. We lost our Welsh Terrier in late April and it was so very difficult. What helped us (to an extent) was that my wife insisted we get right back in the saddle and get another dog. It felt so cold and unfeeling at the time but it turned out to be the best thing for our hearts. I know you’re in a tough transitional period right now Bro, but when the time is right, a new best friend will help tremendously in moving forward to better days. Their love is unconditional.....and you need that right now. Hang in there man, and keep the faith.
So sorry for your loss! 15 years is a long life for any dog! Ive got two Yorkie hell hound's 11 & 12. Hang in there as brighter days will come your way!
I remember my dog dying when I was 11 years old. He was my closest companion when I endured some hardship years. Broke my heart like you can't believe. He got sick and went to the veterinarian. I stopped by to visit him one day and had extreme sorrow when I had to leave him and go home. Still gets too me well over half a century later. I miss my dog and would give literally anything to have him back. I guess I'm saying that I feel your pain.
