Who is going to be our future? We have to players who are capable of being the franchise player so who do you think it will be? I personally think it's between Gay and Mayo because I see more upside in them then in any other players we have. Leaning a little bit towards Mayo for his ability to defend and the ton of potential he has.

Gay is already a really fine player, and he's still got a lot of upside. Mayo may have been the steal of the draft; he basically sleepwalked his way through his only college season, but was hyped about as much as LeBron.... well maybe not that much :)

You guys have one of the best collections of young talent around, it's just time to put it all together and play winning basketball.

Well, this of course goes with assuming that Mayo will pan out (I think he will, just a bit bitter knowing my Wolves had him). I see big things in Rudy Gay's future. Unless Mayo is a huge star, Gay will be the guy IMO.

Why'd you pick you name as La Bomba instead of Dacos?

Gay/Mayo sounds like a bright future.

The Grizzlies have a vision at least on the type of team they are building. Their roster is built around speed and athleticism right now, but at some point one or two of their young players will need to learn how to become a winner and not just a highlight film.

Mayo-Conley-Gay is a great young core to build around, but the team doesn't seem committed to any of their front court players. In order to win in the NBA, the Grizzlies will eventually need to find a low post player to compliment these three.

There's going to be a lot of growing pains following this team, but they should have some exciting moments. Hopefully their fans can support this new rebuilding effort.
