LUKE BABBITT RECALLED FROM IDAHO STAMPEDE PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Trail Blazers have recalled forward Luke Babbitt from the NBA Development League's Idaho Stampede, it was announced today by General Manager Rich Cho. In 14 games (nine starts) over two stints with the Stampede, Babbitt averaged 20.1 points (51.3% FG, 88.1% FT), 7.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 29.0 minutes. He netted a season-high 34 points (12-16 FG) in his final outing at Austin on March 27. The 6-9 forward played 10 games in his most recent stint with Idaho from March 3-27, posting averages of 20.9 points (55.8% FG, 85.7% FT), 8.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 29.7 minutes. Babbitt also played four games for the Stampede from Dec. 8-16. Babbitt, 21, is averaging 1.1 points, 0.9 rebounds and 4.8 minutes in 21 games with the Trail Blazers. Portland acquired the University of Nevada-Reno product from Minnesota in a draft day trade on June 24, 2010. Babbitt will be available for tonight's game in San Antonio.
Dynasty! Good for him. I think that if this kid can ever adjust to the NBA speed - he has the tools to be a useful player.
If he can hit that open three consistently then by god give him time since no one else can seem to do that.
