I'll list a player and you comment if he's OVER or UNDER paid. Please include an explanation. Whoever answers lists out the next player and so on and so forth. Kevin Garnett.
Malik Rose is worth 4.2 million a year I think. A good rebounder is very valuable. Plus, he's a high energy, hustle guy. Stephon Marbury @ 12.2M
Just the right amount, he hasn't shown much in his career but has recently witht he play of the Suns. Whoops!, Allen Iverson
Definitely underpaid. Everything he brings to a team is worth any amount you can pay him. He has intangibles like hustle, discipline, and heart that you just can't put a pricetag on. Next player: Keon Clark at 4.7M
Overpaid? Two words... ...VIN BAKER :!: $13 Million a year. He is the most overpaid player in the history of the NBA. Most Underpaid? Walter McCarty :?:
Keon Clark is a steal (underpaid) at 4.7M. He's an impact player and a vocal leader in the locker room. With a lack of big men in the league, Clark is a valuable commodity. He just needs to stay away from foul trouble and improve his free throw shooting. Next Player: Rick Fox @ 3.89M
Rick Fox is a pretty good role player so I think he's just about right or slightly underpaid. By the way, Kevin Garnett IS one of the best players in the league, but he's just not worth the 20 mil. How about Michael Olowokandi?
olowakandi is not worth the 50 cents i put in that homeless guy's cup the other day...at least not on what he has done to date...on potential he is worth a whole lotta money...the guy has a ton of potential and thats why its unfortunate that someone will prolly give him the max or close to it... Mike Bibby: hint on how i feel: it is ludicrous that Mike Bibby insists he 'settled' for his 80 million or wutever he got instead of demanding the max just to stay with the kings...Bibby is not a max player...he's a solid point guard and a smart player...but he's not Baron Davis...lets list off the point guards who were better then Bibby at the time he received his extension...Baron Davis (now THAT is what a max contract player young point guard looks like...he is a dominating presence for his team...well until he got hurt -.-), Payton, Nash, Andre Miller, Jason Kidd, Stephon Marbury (yes he was even playin well last season ppl), Sam Cassell, shit Kenny Andersen was playin better then his ass too...Tony Parker...Steve Francis...lets not continue this...he is the 10th best PG in the league if he's lucky...thats not a max contract player or even a 80 million over 7 years player...
Uh, looks like you answered it yourself, but I disagree. Bibby is getting paid $8.5M this year and I think that's fair. He's definitely better than a bunch of PGs you listed, like Sam Cassell, Tony Parker, Andre Miller, and Kenny Anderson. I think you're letting your Laker bias get in the way here. He led that team in the playoffs, and a clutch leader doesn't come cheap. If they win the championship, I say he's worth it. Next player: Michael Finley @ 11.9M
A very little bit overpaid. Because I think the mavericks would still be a good team without finley. Next: eddie robinson 3 year 20.8 mill
Eddie Robinson is definitely overpaid. He's very inconsistent, and still hasn't neared his potential. Next player: Corliss Williamson @ 4.5M

MIguel Olowokandi though not a superstar is one of the better centers in the league (which doesnt say all that much these days). Bibby will be overpaid if he makes 80 mil but he is one of the best point gaurds in the league. I mean Kenny ANDERSON....are you NUTS?????
you are right...i am biased because i am a laker fan...and in the fact that bibby did 'lead' the kings in the playoffs... but 1. that doesnt change the fact that he was still the 10th best point guard at best (i even forgot jason terry off my list)... 2. kenny andersen did outplay bibby during the regular season last year and was clutch for the celts in the playoffs so no i am not nuts...you are just stupid... 3. bibby 'lead' the kings to an early exit against the lakers...i mean come on now...anyone can have a good series when they're goin against fisher ;( oh man i hate fisher =P
the hell did Kenny anderson do for the celtics?? I was IN new england alst summer. i saw everyone of their playoff games. kenny anderson was no great factor. even afeter walker and pierce there were two or three players who helpped more than kenny probably more. he is one of the most over paid players in the last ten years. you wanna talk about clutch. look at mike bibby. hes the onyl one who wnated to shoot the ball at the end of game 7. no way anyones gonna agree that kenny outdid bibby in the reg season or in the playoffs. just look at the numbers. Bibby was having an off year and still had 13.7 points a game and five assists. Kenny had a hot second half and ended with 9 points a game and 5 assists. I dont see where he was better. in the league the only point guards better than binbby without a doubt are Kidd Francis Davis Payton after that its all debatable and bibby could easily be number four or five or six.
maybe i should have phrased that lil bit differently... the celtics needed kenny anderson more then the kings needed bibby... but thats besides the point...you are obviously out of your mind saying that bibby from last year could be 'debateable' with andre miller or steve nash from last year...nor was he comparable with stephon marbury either...bibby had a piss poor regular season and only one great series of performances against the lakers...to me this didnt command max money nor 80 million over 7 years...70 million would sound about right to me... so i'll give u that he may have been debateable with Terry, Anderson, Parker, but then imma add tinsley to that list because he is a better distributor and he was certainly better then J-Dub so the kings got the better end of that trade (i feel bad going against my fan thoughts because J-Dub is one of my favorite players in the league) but that goes to show u that i am capable of thinking thorugh my bias (except for when it comes to kobe)...bibby is a good point guard but i worry about his size at the position...the game is going to change where guys who are built like arenas are going to be the normal size point guards and bibby is going to be small...the league is getting bigger, not smaller, and bibby is small as a point guard and lacks the nash like ability to finish all crazy in the lane...so i dunno how effective he'll be in the future...we'll see... and kandi sux...
Kenny Anderson was the reason the Celtics beat the Pistons. I do agree he is not better than Bibby, but Anderson did a great job running the C's offense and creating high % shots for his teammates. Kenny never lived up to his hype and is overpaid, but he was definately a factor in last year's playoffs.
