    Pacers @ Pistons

This is starting to annoy me. I hate Sunday games, I can't stand them being at like 1 PM. Never have time to make a preview as I wake up at 12:45. [IMG]

Anyways, this is the game we have all been waiting for, where we show everybody who the best team is in the East! Unfortunately, we're down 11-8 to the Pacers right now, but we'll come back!

    great game.

amazing defense by the Pistons. when the Pistons are playing their best defensive game, they are going to be tough to beat (even by a Western Conf. team).

more than anything, this gives us lots of confidence going into the playoffs.

Good win, good win. You know that when Darko gets out there and shoots 50% and gets a block that it was a fun game to watch. :P

It feels good watching that amazing defense, the Pistons were almost toying with the Pacers later. We were able to force the Pacers to commit so many turnovers that they had almost no chance to come back. Should give us some confidence going into the playoffs, too bad we lost the series 3-1, but better than 4-0. [IMG]

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Larry Brown finally beat Rick Carlisle. Ben Wallace and Rasheed Wallace beat down Jermaine O'Neal.

Dictating the tempo with a physical style to their liking, the Detroit Pistons held All-Star Jermaine O'Neal to nine points on 4-of-15 shooting and rolled to a 79-61 victory over the Indiana Pacers.

It marked the 10th time this season the Pistons have held an opponent under 70 points. Indiana's previous season-low was 71 points against Denver in a November 4 victory.

Richard Hamilton led the Pistons with 24 points, including a layup and two jumpers in an 11-0 run which helped the Pistons open a 70-53 with just under five minutes left in the game</div>

    Recap And Boxscore

Watching this game today, a couple of points..well more than a few

Rasheed Wallace had a nightmare on the offensive end, maybe his worse as Piston but still had an effect on D

Billups shot was off all game and never got things going.

Prince did nothing at all, I was starting to wonder If he would get a fine for missing the game till I saw him sitting on the bench

Elden Campbell had his best game of the season, worked very hard on both ends of the court. Had a few nice put-backs and was hitting the 15 foot jump shots.

Ben Wallace had a very bad night, missing two dunks and looking lost on offense, although did a soild job on D

Rip was the only guy who played his normal game, attacked the basket and knocked down the jumper well

With all the above said, Pistons still beat the top seed by 18 points, crazy. With the way I described it you would think they lost by that amount

3rd straight 50 win season by Detroit, looking at the next 7 games they all could be wins.

Pistons have 5 games left. but i agree they are ALL games the Pistons should win. (ORL, TOR, ORL, WAS, TOR). there's absolutely no reason the Pistons can't finish with 57 wins. that would really be a great accomplishment, especially since we started the season with the mentality that we were taking a step back for the future (firing Carlisle and drafting Darko).

EVEN if we rest our starters and give our bench heavy minutes, they are good enough to beat those teams [IMG]

AllNet, while all of your observations about the Piston's game were correct, keep in mind that the Pacers were without their starting PG and O'Neal was supposedly hurt. not that those are excuses for the loss, but i think they should be considered.

other than that, i think today's win give the Pistons some legitimacy and much needed confidence going into the palyoffs. can you imagine if we went into the ECF's against Indiana knowing we never beat them in the reg. season?
