<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Reggie Miller is still pushing opponents around. With a sellout crowd chanting his name, the 39-year-old delivered another clutch playoff moment Friday night. He drew two fouls, made four free throws and hit a key jumper in the final 81 seconds to rally the Indiana Pacers past Detroit 79-74 in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. The Pacers now lead the best-of-seven series 2-1. Game 4 is Sunday at Indianapolis. It was an atypical night for Miller until the end. He shot just 3-of-11 from the field, including a dismal 0-of-7 from 3-point range, and even missed a free throw in the fourth quarter. But when the Pacers needed him most, the five-time All-Star who is retiring after the season looked like anything but a fading star. With the Pacers trailing 72-71 and commissioner David Stern watching from near midcourt, Miller drew the sixth foul on Richard Hamilton with 1:21 left and sank two free throws to wipe out Detroit's 72-71 lead. On the Pacers' next possession, Miller drew a foul on Lindsey Hunter, then hit two more free throws to make it 75-72. </div> Source Like them or not, you have to respect what the Pacers have accomplished this season. Rick Carlisle has done an amazing job of keeping this team focused despite all the drama they've gone through. Jamaal Tinsley has been the catalyst for the Pacers with his ability to penetrate. Reggie Miller hit yet, another clutch shot to put the Pistons away, after having a terrible game 3-11, 0-7 from downtown. The only players to score in double figures tonight for the Pacers was Tinsley (16) and Miller (17) and they still won.
The Pacers are staying motivated and right now being up 2-1 in the series, these last two games they just seem to want it more then the Pistons do. The Pacers are playing good defense, and are efficient on offense. So far Jeff Foster has been providing a huge lift grabbing offensive rebounds and making hustle plays all over the court. The Pistons have to find a way to stop him and get production from their bench if they want to keep up with the Pacers.
Jeff Foster is doing a great job on the rebounding end for the Pacers, he's averaging 15 RPG this series. That includes 7.7 offensive rebounds per game this series. The Pacers are playing with heaps of determination in this series, and so far are getting the results.
Foster has been amazing. If we can pull off another win it will be determined by the bench, IMO. This game is going to be very pivotal and I can't wait!!
If they win game 4, that's put the Pistons in a very crucial spot. I hope Reggie does well, but I really want to see a Heat/Pistons matchup.
